We offer a small range of custom made leather collars and leads. All our collars and leads are made on our farm, using the best quality Australian tanned leather. Although we only make and prefer genuine leather collars and leads, we also include some links to good quality synthetic collars and harnesses, available from Amazon Australia. It has been a tough time, with restricted movement for 8 weeks. We were sent home from the vet with the usual bucket collar and he was very good and slept in it each night. When he was with us and we could keep an eye on him we used one of these Kong inflatable collars and it worked really well and was more comfortable for him. I also made a ‘necklace’ from swimming pool noodles and while they work ok, it wasn’t as good as the Kong.
The Company Of Animals 11420A Halti Headcollar
Halti’s have become increasingly popular. They are fine as long as they are adjusted properly. I have seen dogs on hot days unable to open their mouth to pant, which is really bad. If ordering a Halti take care to fit it properly and seek professional advice if you are not confident.
If you want a synthetic collar – Black Rhino is a popular choice. A Comfort Collar with ultra soft neoprene padding. Suitable for all breeds. – Heavy duty, adjustable, reflective and weatherproof. The collars have excellent online reviews but may not stand up well to very strong pulling dogs.
